The Arkansas Entomological Society
The Arkansas Entomological Society was formed in order to foster the science of entomology in the state and to enhance communication among those interested in entomology.
The AES was founded in the summer of 1991 at a meeting of many of the state's professional entomologists.

Membership is open to all individuals who are interested in the study of insects and
related arthropods and is not limited to residents of Arkansas.
Members include educators, extension personnel, students, researchers, professionals, and hobbyists.
Annual dues are $10 for regular members and $5 for students.
The object and purpose of the Society is to foster entomological accomplishment among
its members and to promote the science of Entomology through the encouragement of(1)
association and free discussion among all entomologists;(2) to encourage research
in any entomological problem;(3) to assist in securing any needed funds or facilities
for entomological work;(4) to bring about a closer coordination and understanding
between research, regulatory, educational, and commercial entomologists.
